The Cambridge Empowerment Center is now open for children’s programming.
We have updated our facility and are revamping our organization and programs. We are now a Maryland State licensed childcare facility and are launching the Pine Street Enrichment Program (PSEP). This is the title of our children’s program which includes the after school program and the summer learning program.
The PSEP is now accepting applications for both programs for children aged 5 to 12. The after-school program will be free and open Monday through Thursday, 3:00 to 5:30. The summer learning program, (a nominal fee for the entire program is $75) will run Tuesday through Friday 8:30 to 5:00.
Our Children’s programs will emphasize learning in a fun way. Reading and math will be our focus for many children who were left behind academically in the pandemic. We are working and collaborating with many other organizations in Dorchester County, including the Grade Level Reading Coalition to make sure our children are reading on level by third grade.
