This unique bike ride will follow part of the Underground Railroad (UGRR) on two routes of 25 and 43 miles, respectively, through scenic marsh and farmlands, with rest stops at historic sites. More information can be found at biketheugrr.com.
TO MAKE THIS RIDE A SUCCESS, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR:
• Route setup and take down: 7:00 am – 8:00 am & 12:00 Noon – 1:30 pm
• Pickup Trucks and volunteers needed
• SAG (Support And Gear) Cars, Drivers, Communications: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
• Rest Stops: Captains, hosts, set-up, and take down: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
• Bucktown Store
• Harriet Tubman Visitor’s Center
• Oak Grove Church
• Malone Church
• Finish Line – Check-out and take down: 10:00 am – 1:30 pm
• Miscellaneous activities as needed: anytime between 7:30 am – 1:30 pm
