You might say that wildlife photographer Scott Harris was swept away by hawks. His quest to document every different raptor species in the lower 48 took him 17 months and 34 states.  Ultimately, he identified 53 species, all of them captured in his new book, Raptor Quest: Chasing America’s Raptors.

That book and Harris’ journey is the subject of the next guest lecture at the Talbot County Bird Club’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 7 PM.  The meeting is hosted by the Chesapeake Forum at the Easton Family YMCA and is open to the public.  Harris will join the meeting by ZOOM from his home in South Carolina.  Registration is required.

In Raptor Quest: Chasing America’s Raptors, Harris will share some of the adventures and misadventures that went into his quest.  Along with birds, he will also talk about some of the people he encountered, the lessons he learned, and his plans for his next adventure.

Harris’ talk will start at 7 PM and be followed by a brief club meeting. Choose to attend in-person at the Easton Family YMCA, watch on ZOOM or listen later to a recording.  The event is free but registration is required at https://chesapeakeforum.org.
