Through a $50,000 grant from T-Mobile, the city of Cambridge will fund computers for the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Intergenerational Center that will serve senior citizens, children, individuals with disabilities and residents of the town.
The grant, which was announced today, is part of T-Mobile’s Hometown Grants Program to help communities across the country kickstart development projects that will enhance the area and help enrich the lives of residents.
“We are so grateful to T-Mobile, a national entity, for their commitment to a rural community such as ours. This state-of-the-art computer lab will provide opportunities for community members including children, aging persons, and individuals with disabilities to acquire skills that will help them thrive. These computers along with qualified instruction will also provide much needed access to services and supports in an area with few options to do so.”
