Sweet: Friends of Dorchester Library Deliver Donation Check

The Friends of the Dorchester County Public Library handed over a donation to the Staff at the Cambridge Branch of the Dorchester County Library this past week.

The mission of the Friends, a volunteer, non-profit organization, is to help the Library achieve its operational goals, encourage giving for the benefit of the Library and to work to enhance the community through library programs.  Funds for this $5,000. donation were raised over the past year from member donations and through the Friends’ traditional Second Saturday Book Sales.

The next Second Saturday Sale will be held on March 12th from 9am to 1pm in the Book Cellar on the first floor of the Cambridge Library. Browsers may find thousands of titles, in both hardcover and paperback form, ranging from fiction, history, biography, gardening as well as a variety of books for younger readers!
