Race and Pine Streets to Close for Safety Improvements Nov. 20

On Thursday, November 20, Pine Street (from Cedar Street to Dunn’s Court) will be closed to through traffic to install a raised crosswalk.  Once it is complete, Race Street (from Cannery Way to Gay Street) will be closed to through traffic to install a raised crosswalk.

These installations will take approximately four hours each. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic around the work, so access to homes and businesses will not be impacted.

The raised crosswalks are traffic-calming safety features designed to protect pedestrians by increasing their visibility and reducing vehicular speeds.
On Thursday, please plan your route to avoid these areas or be prepared for slowdowns and detours.
