Talbot County’s favorite (and only!) improv comedy troupe, Improv Easton, is excited to invite the community to a special event – “Drop In Night!” Mark your calendars for March 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at the Third Haven Friends Meeting, 405 S. Washington St., Easton, MD 21601.
This free event is open to all to drop in and try improv games and exercises–no prior experience is required. It’s a chance to meet new people, share some laughs, and see what improvisational comedy is all about in a fun, low-pressure, supportive, and relaxed setting. More than just comedy, improv skills have been shown to have wide-ranging benefits beyond the stage, helping members improve confidence, listening ability, creativity, and presence.
To enjoy this evening of fun, interested community members should sign up at http://tinyurl.com/DropInMarch.
Improv Easton will also kick off a 6-week “Intro to Improv” session on Tuesday evenings starting March 19, 2024, and running through April 23, 2024, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Perfect for beginners, the course will cover the basic skills needed for improvisational scenes, including engaging in games, creating characters, and the concepts of ‘Yes/And’ and ‘Got Your Back.’ Additional information is available at http://tinyurl.com/Improv101March2024.
